L3: Music Edition
In the first music edition of Lee’s Three, take a listen to three songs that I have had on repeat from a few months to two years! I absolutely love these songs and don’t think there will be a day where I don’t enjoy listening to them.
Lee’s Three (L3) features quick content highlighting helpful hints, surprising facts, or something enjoyable from my life.
Music exists in nearly every culture we know. While the style and instruments used can drastically differ, we still appreciate and enjoy songs in languages we don’t understand.
And who can’t resist nodding their head to some classic Michael Jackson, Dr. Dre, or Notorious B.I.G. beats?
Music has the power to break down barriers and help people understand each other without words.
I hope you enjoy today’s three picks!
1) Bob Marley – Is This Love (Montmartre Remix)
Starting the list off is a remix of a classic Bob Marley tune. Unfortunately, I feel like classic songs are often ruined by an EDM type remix. With this song, that is not the case.
Montmartre does a terrific job keeping the vocals intact and adding enough extra sound to give the original a fresh twist. Sit back and relax!
2) Jack Johnson & Eddie Vedder – I Shall Be Released
Live at the Kokua Festival in Hawaii a few years back, Jack Johnson brought along an incredibly talented group of friends. Jack Johnson and Eddie Vedder (Pearl Jam) absolutely deliver on this collaboration! I highly recommend listening to the full album from Track 1 when you have time!
3) Travis Scott & Kendrick Lamar – Goosebumps
This is a big switch up from the last two songs but possibly my favorite. This song released on Travis Scott’s album Birds in the Trap Sing McKnight last October and I haven’t stopped listening to it since. Enjoy the eerie synths and incredible rapping from the two artists!
